Well, I am nothing if I am not a major procrastinator. LOL
I was visiting my buddy in Cleveland Ohio where I lived from 1976 to 1982, formidable years for RC and Tamiya, but I never saw any while I lived there, I guess my dad didn't want me to become obsessed with them. I try to travel back to Cleveland about once a year in the summer when the rest of Texas is melting and it is a nice respite from the heat. It helps to have in-laws that live about 2 hours south of Cleveland as driving 1300 miles with nothing but a hotel to look forward to isn't my idea of a vacation really. Perhaps that is because I am such a cheapskate. :D
Now, I have visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few times, saw a few special exhibits and such as it seems they are ever changing it. Some of the coolest things I have seen there are of course THIS CAR, the Eliminator from ZZ Top, but also Janis Joplin's Psychedelic Porsche and on the eery side, John Lennon's last set of clothing and the brown bag the hospital handed to Yoko Ono with them inside, none of the items had been cleaned, just taken off John and put into the effects bag. Sad, thinking about it.
SO, you can read the sign, NO PHOTOS, but I snapped this shot on a visit in 2000 on the way out the door from the upper lobby area near the music store and gift shop area, we then left pretty quickly in case someone was going to chase us for violating their rules. I don't know what they do now-a-days since I haven't been in the museum since everyone and their brother now owns a camera phone, perhaps they have lessened their rules OR they have a ton of folks working now to kick out picture takers. ;) WHO KNOWS???
Enjoy and I had to post this, even though it is 7 years ago that I told fellow TC member Blaque Jaque that I had such a photo, so here is the inspiration that made me do it. :P
