Well today I was woken by a very nice, polite and cheery Delivery man (sounded eastern european). Package from SteveU30 had arrived :)

Opened up the parcel (which was very well packaged, thank you Steve) to be greated with a Porsche 911 GT1 bodyset in its original kit box and a few other bits and bobs. I had last week purchased a set of GT1 wheels brand new and so had them painted up ready for the body arriving. Also won some Tamiya Semi Slick racing tyres on ebay for £3 so they are popped onto the wheels for now (un glued) hoping to get some sticky Reinforced Type A slicks for them.

Body is in generally fantastic shape apart from 2 cracks on the front and some front end scuffs. But no problem as it will be a runner anyway and will get tidied up a bit later today with some glue and paint. It is also missing the wing mirrors (if anyone can help me out with those at all?? :) Overall very happy with it and surprised at just how good the body looks, IMO one of Tamiya's best looking bodies that they have ever made.

Mounted it on my Hopped Up TA03R-S for the pictures. Front shock tower is from a TA03F so am trying to source a proper TA03R front shock tower as its a lower mount type on them.

Still waiting on some lovely purple 3 racing ball connectors from Japan and a few other purple alloy nuts etc along with a set of Tamiya Touring Cars Spring Set and a set of the short touring car spring set also. Hoping to fit my carbon chassis plates soon and finish the overall look of the chassis.

Looks great matey, sorry about the wing mirrors being missing, I didn't even realise they were supposed to be on there.
