Found on ebay about 6 months ago. It looked okay in the photo's but when it arrived the whole car appeared to have been sprayed in a transparent yellowish varnish..... the body, the chassis, the tyres.....everything was covered in it. I disassembled the car and began the painful process of stripping off the 'yellow stuff '. Every part was soaked, cleaned, scrubbed many times over. For some parts brake fluid did the job, for others it was engine degreaser, for some it was both..... for some I even used carburettor cleaner. It took many weeks to get the stuff off but it was well worth it as the car now appears to have never been used. I did start to strip the original body down but while searching for decals found a new body parts set complete with fresh chrome. A very painstaking rebuild but very happy with the result.

Awesome car John and fantastic job! I had a massive poster of this car on my bedroom wall when I was a little nipper.

A smashing example of my favourite F1 car. Stunning. We once had the Scalextric version!
Well done.
