Zipper Kart moves foreward
Well , this has been a long haul to say the least ,but I've made some progress . I was offered a complete Kart which I broke down into parts as a donor Kart . I used the Driver , fuel tank , side pods & nassau & seat to flesh out my Kart . I need to restore the pods & nose as they are split from zip ties . I'll be bolting these on properly - no more zip ties . I'm redesigning the rear bumper to shorten the space from the chassis end to the outer face of the rear bumper as it looks too long . The chassis tube ends on a real Kart terminate just past the rear axle carriers ,but I dont want to cut this frame - which would be the easy option . I have tracked down more spares and so I'll be getting new gloves & suit as this one has some fuel staining and some new pods and nassau - possibly wheels , but I'm in the process of getting these re-chromed. I've fab'd up a proper exhaust mount as the original one is just a bit of wire that flaps around ,and some proper seat support stays . I've fitted a Force pull starter to the Force engine as the roto-start fitting I put on it was now obscured by the side pod . Once I've finished to 'graft' I'll restore the whole thing and probably colour the chassis frame

That looks pretty neat, Kev. Is that a Kyosho?

Thanks guys . @Erich , it is a 1/3rd scale .21 engined Zipper Kart from Go'n'Play many years back - pretty rare now , see last pic I just added in of it next to my 1/10th Marui Samurai . The driver stands around 2 feet tall

Very different, bet it would be a great car to run if it goes like the real thing - could imagen the driver flying out on a tight corner!!

I like these but the driver is just the wrong scale for the Kart, but take him out and it looks great !!

It looks like that , but the driver measures 23 inches which equals 69 inches which is 5'9inches tall - an average height in 1/3rd scale ,so probably true enough . I've looked at some old pics of me in one of my Karts back in the '70's and they do compare evenly . But I see what you're saying . The driver needs to be seated properly in the Kart to lower the o/a height in the seat . I tried a 1/4 scale driver in there and he looks lost
