Nearly a drifter!!
This all started with a failed rebuild of the rear shocks that were full of sand from the beach and were working even less effectively than normal.
It's now got 5 oil shocks which dramatically improved the ride (bit less pogoing).
Maybe it's just me but wheelies get a bit dull after the 100th so I've added some ballast to the front to keep the wheels on the ground. Now, with the Torque Tuned motor, it wheel spins on any slightly loose surfaces and needs some serious opposite lock to keep it going straight (much more fun than wheelies!!). So, no need for the wheelie bar anymore. The ballast also makes it steer more accurately.
I've braced the front of the chassis with some threaded bar and changed the front bumper for a RadshapeRC alloy one just because I could.
All in all it is now much more interesting and fun to drive. Not quite a drifter yet but we're getting there.

Jinkies Fred, What did you do to the Mystery Machine?!

And here I thought the ballast was the tire mounted on the front, just like the tractor pullers do. Nice work, did you get enough Scooby Snax??

Plenty of Scooby Snax thanks. Crash, do you still need those SRB shock tubes that I've got hidden away for you?

Nice take on the scooby van. I've just finished building a lunchbox for my daughter and also painting and decalling in the same livery. She doesn't know it yet though.

That looks great! How do you like those shocks? I bought them a year ago and promptly removed them. I just had the worst luck with them.

Looks fantastic, what shocks are those? Do you think you've kinda upset the 'point' of the Lunchbox Wheelie chassis with your mods though? Not a criticism at all!

Thanks for the positive feedback chaps. The shocks are from RC-GO on ebay and they appear to be doing their job pretty well at the moment. I suppose I have got away from the point of a wheelie chassis but I never was much of a fan of 'wheelstanders' anyway. That begs the question: why buy a Lunchbox in the first place? It was more about creating the Mystery Machine than the wheelies. Power slides are more fun than wheelies (in my head anyway). Might be even more fun if I can track down a pair of Amark slicks for the back!
