Madcap! My favorite Tamiya
Picked this up from a local auction site last year. It looked in really good condition from the photos and the seller was pretty honest and said that the front shock tower had been clued as it had cracked etc. When it arrived it was has described in the auction, the shell was in excellent condition with no cracking or hardly any marks on it, the only thing was a little decal lifting on the cockpit which was nothing. The tires were slicks but I knew that from the auction pics. When I pulled it to pieces I found that not only was the shock tower toast but so was the front bulk head and a few other parts, must have had a pretty hard head on at some stage of its life! With lots of help from Chris (Crash Cramer) I manged to find the parts I needed to finish the build and picked up a mint saint dragon in the process!! Thanks Chris your a legend!
This was my very first Tamiya many many years ago and I cant help but smile every time I look at it!
I had to borrow the wheels from the Saint Dragon as I'm still looking for front tires!!

Looks really good now. I am happy I could help. Too bad I didn't have any more tires, but now I gotta ask, WHERE is that St Dragon???
I know it will take a little time in putting that 'kit' together, but keep us posted. I wish you luck in finding those elusive front tires.
