We are really reeling in the time here (just under a year, so no Steely Dan reference!). With the last spots of plastic putty to go onto the Wheelie Rally shell, I took some time to reflect on the state of the body as I went through with the project. A lot has changed - I had forgotten how hard I had worked!

The evolution of a one-off is the subject of this showroom entry.

The shell today. But once upon a time, it was in pieces. Once, I thought I would join the shell with these. Then I discovered soldering irons! Everything began happening faster... Plastic putty found its way in. Wheel arches were enlarged. Willy sat in on a few sessions! The current silhouette takes shape. Primer! More sanding to get to where we are now.

I love doing bodywork mods.
So did you use the soldering iron to melt the main body pieces together or melt on additional bits of styrene.
Great job can't wait to see it on and decals added

Thanks! Yes, SRB Bloke, I melted plastic sprue into the gaps with the soldering iron, sanded it down, filled the rest with putty, and sanded again - and again, and again... No plans to give up at this point!
