Guys, I'm back!! It's been five years and lots of things have happened. I've been lurking on the forum in the meantime offcourse and my RC collection only grown and got better. I will be updating my showroom over the couple of weeks, but I wanted to start off with one of my favorite chassis; A clear plastic TL01LA I bought when I was in Japan.

So, this chassis is one of my favorites because it has a cool backstory. I went to Japan in december 2013 for two and a half weeks of RC drifting bootcamp as you could call it. I joined a handfull of the best RC drifters from Europe on a tour with Team Tetsujin from Nagoya. We travelled around Japan going to at least two circuits each day. LONG days but I've learned so so much and made friends for life. Offcourse with this being Japan it didn't take long for us to find cool RC stuff, and on only the second day in the country we went to Rajikon Tengoku in Nagoya. This place still is my favorite shop as they carry lots of NOS and secondhand stuff. They had a wall filled with cool cars like Dynastorms, TA03 and TA04TRF's, F103 15th's, TRF's and more. Luckilly my fellow travelers didn't have any interest in vintage cars, so one of them called me over to show this 'funny looking old Tamiya' and he said he thought I'd like it. Well.... I didn't even check the pricetag and just put it in my basket. The rest is history.

Now onto the chassis itself. It is a TL01 with the clear plastic chassis parts you are probably familiar with by now. Apart from that it also has every single optionpart from Tamiya including the TL01LA suspension and additional to that a Cross foambumper. Not pictured, but to finish it off I got a set of really old and really cool honeycomb Mikuni Factory wheels I once saw on a Japanese blog and wanted every since. So happy when I found a set at TamTam Nagoya!

The pictures are not so great, I'm sorry. I will add some more later on.

Hope you like the car and stayed tuned for way more!

Nice TL01 but a few more hop ups needed such as titanium screws and aluminium ball connectors.

Ah, those! Sorry, I don't like the look of the blue connectors on the car, I prefer the gold or polished black/grey. I think the blue aluminium ones were also not a period correct option, but came out later?

Try 53284 or 53598 if you don't like blue.
Have you got the 53219 aluminium pressure plate set?

I amhappy with the gold ballstuds. They match the brass bushings, gold springs and yellow gears.
