I obtained this XLS as almost a carcass and in bad shape. Thinking it will be a easy repair I found out the hard way it was not and parts were very scarce. I managed to get the parts over a very long time paying quite a lot, bumper though used cost a little fortune. my advice is to pay the extra and buy a good one instead of trying to get a cheap one needing repairs and parts as it will be very expensive as i have found out (unless you have spare parts lying around that is).

I seem to like the clear shell look these days and having kitted out the Car with all period electrics feel it looks great like this. Hope you like. Just need to Finnish off cutting the shell properly, took some quick pictures to add to TC.

Oh I am after the metal wing mount if anyone might have one for sale, I made a home made one and its not all that great. Also one shock mount holder broken and needs to be replaced some time in the future.
If you have one or know one which will be compatible to buy? Thank you.

I am after the Swb Cat myself, hope to obtain one in the future and you are very right about trying to obtain parts if yours are missing, its just not worth buying a missing parts project these cars are very rare compared to Tamiya or kyosho.
Not many about and certainly in my top 10 of very rare rc cars. Love the looks of these especially in white with the lined colour decals.
A total classic...........

Thanks guys for all your kind comments. Pinpoint the SWB is more rarer than the LWB ones but still both are true classics in their own rights. Happy New Year to all
