restored TNX from ebay, won for a good price only needed one new axle due to stripped thread and nut that had to be dremeled off.
Don't think its been run much as when stripped the diffs were pretty clean, I think its had a running problem due a tight piston liner at btc I have cleaned it up and will run it in again, hopefully that should fix it. The seller did say it needed heat to start sometimes.

Nice job. I keep my out for these down under as I have a wild commando and terra crusher that I have never been able to get the frat gearbox to work properly so want to put tnx gearbox's in them.

Nice Dave, just finished mine recently. Sounds like previous owner got caught out by the reverse thread on the axles. Every one of these I find has at least one axle destroyed by being over tightened when they are reverse thread.

Yup that's what I thought too, also its now running like a champ, carb was assembled wrong (maybe from new?) the Tamiya assembly drawing is wrong for the FS18 SR, but look on the OS site for 18 cvr-rx and it shows the correct metering needle and spring assembly..worth remembering if you run one.

Yep, most of the newer era Tamiya engines are all made in collaboration with OS
