Hi all ;-)
Got this for my birthday a couple of years back, just not added the finished pictures! When I got this car, the original wheels had been painted red, and the original tyres where badly cracked. The bodyshell had also seen better days, with wing mirrors, rollover hoop and rear radiator missing, and part of the rear spoiler missing :-( I ordered some re release wheels and tyres and a re release bodyshell.:-) I set about stripping the chassis and polishing the floorpan. I then added an esc, a new silvercan motor and acoms radio gear. When the bodyshell arrived,I gave it two coats of paint and two coats of semi gloss clear coat. Then added the decals, and finally added red wheel nuts :-) I also managed to get hold of the front bodyclips that were missing, from a very kind TC member, thanks very much Tyboart, your a star ;-)
I love using this car, it just looks great speeding across open asphalt, and its so tail happy taking corners, you really have to feather the throttle in and out of corners :-) That's the joy of these classic F1 pan cars, you really have to think about how to get the most out of the chassis without pushing too far. I was toying with the idea of putting a sport tuned motor in this car, but I think that would be a step too far, and the car would just be doing donuts all the time!!
As always, all comments good or bad, welcome.
Cheers
Paul

I like how your model has rubber tires, not foams like the re-release. To me rubber tires are much more realistic, even if they give up some performance to foams.
