NIB Hotshot Ready to Build!
A couple of years ago, I came across a really nice original Hotshot box that came with an NOS roll cage and an NOS Supershot shock kit still in the box. There were also various pieces in there and it looked like someone sold the car separate from the box and other pieces. I'm guessing to try to get more money from the sale. Anyway, shortly thereafter I began collecting pieces here and there thinking I would build another Hotshot to look like and original buggy, but with some modern upgrades. Since then I have collected a full NOS set of screw bags (gold), a Futaba Magnum radio, and Super Stock TZ motor and a re-re chassis as I like having the small aluminum lid piece with its access to the receiver. Here is the photo shoot with the body and driver all painted up and ready to go. I am going to begin building it this weekend, wish me luck!

MY OH MY, that is a gorgeous color blue there, what is it please??? Also, great looking start to a vintage/restomod build. That SS shock kit isn't the easiest thing to come by, good find, tough luck on the box front with some tape scars, but all in all a good looking kit will come out of this. Let me know if you come into any trouble with that body mount on the re re chassis as I can't recall if they line up exactly or not with the HS1 body vs the HS2 body they were made for, I can't remember if I used a longer body hex screw for that or not.

Yeah Boy ! Great looking parts build project, collecting parts is half the fun and now the best is ahead.

Right, sorry if I sounded stupid there asking yet again for the color you painted it. I have slept since you posted the bodyshells alone in May and they were in PS16. It had been a CRAZY May to say the least, and still looking forward to figuring out the new look and use of TC. I hope to catch the final results on your HS build soon enough.
