I had a Wild One when I was young and had the usual problems with the gearbox. When it was rereleased I really wanted one again but as I fit brushless motors to most of my runners I knew I'd be asking for trouble.
I had a 9 turn brushless in my King Blackfoot and the gearbox never failed.....although it did shear a driveshaft once. After years of abuse I broke the rear shock tower and never bothered fixing it.
I wondered if it's gearbox would fit the Wild One? I searched the net but couldn't find anyone that had done it before, other gearbox transplants but not the the King Blackfoot gearbox.
Cutting up a brand new car to try and fit it was scary but it went well and drives fantastic!

have a guess how well it landed............

Thanks everyone for kind comments.
Scollins - I actually filmed the build. I've edited the video to shorten the viewing time to around five minutes......I just need to add some talking explaining what I done. Keep an eye out for it.

The second and last pic are fantastic! Really strange to see the motor this much forward and on the other side.
