Tamiya Monster Beetle
Bought a while ago in a trade as a future project.
It is a original one, not the rere one. Came with all the original electronics.
And is in need of some TLC, waiting untill there is time to restore it.
I also bought a perspex stand for it that I found on Ebay.
Update 22-11-2017: Because of too many projects I sold this one.

That picture of the Robbe compact transmitter gives me the shivers. Had the same one and just as with mine the throttle and steering channels have been reversed by reversing the sticks in the transmitter housing. It's the only way because there are no reversing switches. You end up with the throttle trim on the outside and the steering trim on the underside of the control sticks. Most adult hands give no problem but when you hand it over to a child you'll get it back with the trims out of place. (most of the times a car that won't stop running!)

I know what you mean Tamiyastef.
When I got my first RC, a Tamiya Super Champ (way back like some 35 years ago), I had another popular Robbe transmitter model. The Robbe Economic. You either had the Compact or the Economic.
I love these old Monster Beetles! I think yours has the wrong body mount on the front though. It could be the Blackfoot one - it makes the body sit high at the front. Otherwise great

Very good example, good base for a Resto! Monster Beetles are just so much fun to work on,
and good Sunday fun runners...
