This is the car that started my love for TRF414's.

A long long time ago, around 2008 or 2009 I think, I traded my Tamiya TB02R for a TRF414M2. It was supposed to be my competition drift chassis at that time and I did use it for a while. At that time we had no clue about setups and so on. A much better Yokomo came along shortly after getting the TRF414M2 and it was put on the shelf. Since then I've started looking into the history of the TRF414 and fell in love with the series. I still have this TRF414M2 and although it's not fully original (it has TRF415MSX suspensionmounts), it's in very good condition.

What are the diagonal upper arms for? Stability?

I don't know to be honest. My guess would be that it is to minimize flex in the c-hubs, keeping the caster more exact.
