I concur with that mate. I bought one recently but struggled for months to find suspension related parts ('R' parts if memory serves). Good luck with it, will be worth it though if you can find what you need!
I do know what you mean. It is nearly impossible to correctly restore an older car, especially if they are from the mid to early eighties. Best of luck, looks like a worthwhile project.
I've been pretty lucky, the car cost me $40 yes that's correct. The rear hub and shock tower was damaged but I managed to source brand new parts from the UK and Japan for not a lot of money. The main issue I'm having are the tyres I've got some HPI racing slicks that fit and look ok but it's not original, but I'm not paying £80 for two rally block tyres.
The shell is in good condition few bits of damage but the paint job is horrendous, so think that will be a clean only and I'll purchase one of the TGB ones

Sign of the times, too many people in the vintage game now and the parts pool has all but dried up. Glorious days of collecting vintage Tamiya are behind us, shame but it is what it is. Good luck with your parts hunt.....

Nice! That car has seen some action. Gonna repaint the body or give it a good clean only?
