This is a showroom update now I have my original profile active...
Would I have believed that I would get my hands on a 05 Countach just 6 months after I started collecting again.
No way! And this one is one that has not been seen by us collectors before.
This came from the US from a guy that was selling on his grandfathers old collection. It seems that his grandfather collected a few older models, many static ones. It also seems that he was a Countach fan and this was just one of a mix in Fujimi, Tamiya etc, and ranged in scale from this to 1/20 & 1/24.
After striking a reasonable deal I took this only, unfortunately I couldn't fund any of the other static kits. But knowing that this came from a nice collection makes me quite proud I can keep it safe and it didn't hit a car boot sale or alike.
You can see from the pictures it was stored for a very long time, and in fact I actually took a massive risk in the purchase, because I actually broke the seal on that sellotape holding the lid down. It came sealed and the seller had to assume it was all there, but I wanted to open it.
It seems to have some damp stains around one corner of the box that is on the top too, and you can actually see where another model box has sat on it for many years.
I feel very lucky to have this model and love it's history also.

nice find, sometimes the best part of collecting is the journey/story you get in finding a particular model.

My pleasure EMSPJAY, I hope you get on well with your restoration. Thanks all for the comments, those who know me will know the Countach if my favourite car. Hopefully I will update some more of my 'few' Countach's soon.
Build it man!

Wow, the contents literally are in time-warp condition! I would have thought that through sheer age alone the body might have slightly yellowed, but that looks immaculate
