Whoops, more Kyosho fun

Well after a little 'pause' in my hobbies, I have been getting on with my Lazer ZX rebuild, a culmination of a swap with mikeekim a long, long time ago, and some parts traded with a number of you good fellas.
Whilst hunting for some toothed drive belts on the bay, I found something else that caught my eye... yep been here before 🙄..

It's the entry level Lazer 2000, ugly as heck, and much more plastic than the ZX's and the like, but with a ceiling bid of 35€ it was mine, so waddya gonna do?

The shell still had the painted window masks applied ,now removed- I love removing 20 year old protection!
Next I noticed the gear cover was a bit scuffed, then instantly realized it was the spray protection still in place, so lovely and shiny underneath!

Anyhoo, it's complete, needs a new belt, the chassis has been epoxy repaired front and rear (a tener for a replacement- fantastic!!), and it needs a good clean and strip to see what else,

At least I niw have my runner/beater Kyosho Lazer now, as the very tidy ZX will almost certainly be sitting in my display, as soon as my replacement body shell arrives and gets some 'special' treatment.

But that's another story.
