After five years the Lazer ZX gets its rightful clothes.

As I am a regular non-fan of many of Kyosho's early colour schemes, I obviously went for the custom approach with this model ignoring the usual cut and paint lines.

I have seen numerous comments that the ZX shell is not particularly attractive, but I put that down to the unbalanced top-heavy feeling of the box art models.
There are some simple flowing lines hidden in the geometry, so I sketched a few ideas down, limited to my cheap sale-to-clear Parma Faskolor airbrush paints I had picked up. The available colours were Fasescent Red, faspearl white and faspearl Teal.

I found some pictures of nissan's Le Mans vehicles, and loosely used them as my inspiration. I also left some of the rear body transparent to see a little interior detail and 'float' the rear of the roof.

The shell is is also custom cut, which is just as well because the repro lexan is quite inaccurate in places, specifically around the large gear cut-out.
have still to add a few details, a little more paint, I shall smoke the transparent parts, and add black vinyl in two or three spots.
Decals are a pot-pourri of leftovers, including the black windscreen trims from my Mini Cooper.
The spoiler is a homemade job.

I hope you enjoy. Thanks!

A paint scheme can certainly make or break a finished product, yours definitely makes it. Cracking job on the wing too.
