GRAUPNER 'SYSTEMS' CATAMARAN ***SOLD***

This is a Graupner 1:10 scale replica of the 1:1 1986 World Champion Cougar 'SYSTEMS' Cat powered by twin 750 horsepower Mercruiser engines that was owned/driven by Bob Kaiser and Errol Lanier in the 1980's. At the time of purchase, I had been looking for one of these to add to my collection for well over 10 years but they never seemed to come up for sale very often. Then a few popped up here and there so I started looking more closely at getting one. I only had one childhood friend in the 1980's who had this boat but he never ran it and I was too preoccupied having fun with my MRP Fast Cat to care so I never gave them a second thought. Fast forward a few decades and I realized how rare these boats were so I wanted to add one to the collection. I acquired this boat in the spring of 2018 from a reluctant seller in Arizona, USA. The seller's Ebay listing was for a huge lot that was offered for local pick up only and he would not sell any of the items individually so I had to convince him to ship it across the country and purchase the entire lot for $500 USD. The entire lot included a Graupner Taifun hydroplane, ProBoat Mini C catamaran, two Systems Cats and several radios, chargers, battery packs and a ton of misc. spare parts all in great condition although a few of the vintage radios did not work. Prior to selling this boat and a lot of the misc. spare parts, I removed all of the mechanical parts to keep as spares for the other Systems Cat runner that came in the lot.
