Well, here it is 2-3 years in the making. When I first saw James aka Toykid starting his project I knew I wanted to build one. So as each little bit of funds became available I bought another part. It take a while but I got there eventually.
But I then started the painting, which took a lot of work, sanding painting, sand painting etc to get a smooth glossy finish.
The wheels were a big thing for me, I bought the vintage wheel covers for the front about 4/5 years ago and it took me ages to find the rears. I knew from the beginning I wanted to fit scorcher tyres on the rough rider rims, but I thought I might have to make some... after lots of stretching, swearing and really sore fingers I got them to fit :).
Then I put it all together and WOW!!!!!
I detailed the engine and used scale hex head bolts where possible.

I knew there was an episode of Charlie’s Angels called ‘Waikiki Angels’ where there was a yellow frame beach buggy and I knew I had to somehow bring the model to ‘retro’ competition. I hope you liked. See the last pic :)

I’m already starting my next project, which will hopefully be an even better Sand Scorcher than my ‘69 Scorcher’ but with my work has dried up so I need to find funds before I can start.
