Samson Kremer 911 Carrera

I've always loved the classic Carrera shape, but wanted something a bit different. I came across the Samson 911 pictures and found a decal set so I decided to make my own variation. Instead of the traditional black and orange, i decided on a dark blue and orange. In order to make the masking easier, I painted the orange first and backed it with white. Then I did 2 light coats of translucent blue followed by 3 coats of dark blue metallic. I then backed it all with white again. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. This initial picture will give you some idea, but really doesn't do the color justice... Once it's finished, I'll get some pics in the sunlight. The wheels were a process too.... Primer first, then 2 coats of orange on the centers. The entire wheel was then primered, and then painted silver aluminum. I then masked the barrels and outer edges and painted the lip orange. Finally I masked the entire wheel except the very center and hit that with matte black.... I also then hit the lugs with matte black. Tedious but worth the result. I'll post more pics as I go along.
