I have wanted one of these Kyosho kits for quite some time. Kyosho made two kits with 959 bodies. This one was released in 1991 and doesn't appear in any of the annual catalogs. The body and wheels were Kyosho with the chassis being a modified Hobao Pirate M1.

The kits are relatively easy to find but the bodyshells are always very damaged or painted badly. This one came along and for a reasonable price is now in my collection for good.

Fully restored in 2022 and fitted with an O.S 21RF-B engine.

Congrats, this one is very special in the Kyosho family and a great collectible 1/8 RC car. i have 2 of these, and really like them . yours is very nice too.

Thanks, it will take a little work to restore the chassis but should look superb finished.
