McLaren GTR mimicry
A while ago, I succombed to the charmes of this nice McLaren GTR that, back in the 90s, was part of a Kyosho Fazer. Wanting it to fit my Tamiya TA-02, which normally has an Alfa Romeo 155-body, I had to solve two problems:
First, the McLaren is about one centimeter wider than the Alfa. So I started experimenting a bit on off-set and wider wheels. In the end, the tires destined to fit the Toyota Tom's did the job quite well.
Secondly, I had to adapt the chassis to a body which is much flatter than the Alfa. And I didn't want to fix new holes. That's why I ordered different sets of body mounts that seemed to work out, and finallly managed to make the body fit.
To be honest, there is a third problem waiting to be solved: The McLaren's wheelbase is slightly longer than the TA-02's. Therefore, the rear wheels are not perfectly centered inside the wheel-arches. If you know how to sort out this problem, too, don't hesitate!

Nice work, many years ago I had a similar problem with a wheelbase on a TA-02 that was not long enough for a Kyosho Cobra body. I was able to shave some material from the front inner pivot area of the rear A-arms and move them rearward a small amount, placing a busing in between to take up the space.
