Picked this up on ebay in 2017; I didn't have a particular connection to the model, as it came out well before I got into the hobby. Nonetheless, it was a reasonable price and thought it would serve as a personal 'bridge' back to the earlier days of Tamiya.

Great kit and who can argue with a Super Hornet! I purchased one NIB for my grandfather 20 years ago but he never ran it so I sold it to fund an original Hornet. After he passed away, I regretted selling it so I've owned a total of five, now I have four in my collection which I will reduce to one shelf queen and one runner.
