I built a Lunchie with the FX10 front mod. , which got me thinking . I had an Ultima1 front end lying around and a quick measure up and it looked like a good fit . So I set about fitting it all up . The Ultima assembly was a good fit right from the start and it bolted in very firmly , I added rear tie bars to brace the whole assembly . Upper links are similar to the FX10 setup . The lower damper position was made using Wild One front lower damper brackets - perfect . I added adjustable shox all round and fitted stabilizer bars front and back and an AMpro trans brace . The rear track was widened by 8mm per side by drilling out the axle pin hole 8mm nearer the wheel nut thread , and the wheel is bolted on using 15mm barrell nuts . The rear radio deck is braced as are the front damper position tops . The Ultima front works better than the FX10 in my opinion and I think it looks right at home in there . The wheels are WW2 with inserts

I've seen a few of these heavily modded LBs over the years but this one takes the cake particularly because of the front and rear sway bars. I don't think I've ever seen that before and I have an original basher waiting for a resto so you inspired me!

I thought I was happy with my fx10 modded lb until I saw this! Nice to see something a bit different, great job!

Thanks Clodbox . I've got an FX10 modded LB too , but I think this works just as well , if not a little better . I'll try out the AMpro kit at some point

Brilliant job. Re-purposing at it best.
