This stunning Jrx2 is finally finished! I have been looking out for this buggy for a few years now but finding parts or spares for the jrx2 is near to impossible especially in the United Kingdom but this year it has finally paid off and I am very proud to have finished this and add it to my collection. I have been working on this for a fare few months and have sourced the electronics from the USA and salvaged parts from as far as Australia to complete this build but this is why I love this hobby! To recreate as perfect as you possibly can a vintage superstar of a car.
This Jrx2 is fitted with a super rare Novak NER-2X receiver and a Novak Esc rooster both are in near new condition I had to source these parts from the USA. I decided on a 540 can with a orange end cap too as I wanted to keep with the orange scheme. The can is a MPS FDT stock motor from the early 90's. I also sourced a replica body and painted this as box art. As you can see there is a fare bit of time involved in the masking up and use of masking tape to achieve the reguired paint lines. The decals are replicas of a very high standerd but very thin so placing them in postion correctly was a definite, no second chance of peeling them off and reaplying them.
The Jrx2 is a very rare racing car indeed they don't othen turn up and the carbon chassis plate is worth a small fortune in mint condition. The Jrx2 was a two wheel drive racer from 1989 1990 winning its national championships and is a breaking point for rc design! it features easy adjustment of ride and total adjustment on the track which is very quick and easy. Making it an ideal racer. It's super light weight and the gearbox is very quick to replace and to adjust the clutch. A true wonder of the rc world and forgotten by most.
Hope you members Injoy a super blast from the past.
