Wild Willy's retro rally machine.

I built this for a friend a while ago. It was a bit nerve-wracking because these body sets are quite rare and expensive! But it turned out nicely, and most importantly my friend is happy with it. Apologies for the long body posts, the body was photographed on a borrowed chassis.

I've made a couple of interiors for M-05 Minis before, but as this is a rally car it needed a navigator as well as the driver.
Wild Willy volunteered for the job - I test fitted a more 'scale' Sand Scorcher driver but he looked oddly dwarfed inside the car. Two Wild Willy figures sit almost shoulder to shoulder, about what you'd expect in a Mini. A basic dash and a few details like the gear lever and handbrake hopefully add a little interest.

So here it is. Must admit I was almost reluctant to give this one back! I'm really pleased with how it turned out, my friend is a happy chap - and Wild Willy looks quite pleased with himself too! :)

Hope you like it too.

Cheers,
Rob

Thanks guys, you're very kind.
Got to agree, the Minis are very cool, especially the Monte Carlo.
I like to think the interior adds a little something but they're great little cars regardless.
Really hope that at some point Tamiya reach an agreement with BMW so these can be made available again.
