I started to new built on of my RA 1201, today was painting.
Of course to own an NIB of this Kit is nice, but to built it is amazing....
i decided for Box Art. Body is original Vaillant green, 3x coated with Clear Coat.
It will be a Beauty
Thanks Guys. i was little afraid to test new Coat on this Rare Kit, pushes my Bloddpressure much high.......I tried new Clear Coat from Zeropaints 'Diamond Coat' wich is very nice for Airbrush, and very smoth surface without Dust building on larger surfaces. I used 0,4 Needle and 2.4 Bar / 35 PSI. It will be my favorite Coat.
But also to built this Kit was like a Timemachine back in my Youth..... The Parts dosn,t fit so perfectley as today Kits does. To glue it together you really have to push to pull and to glue in one Time.....
I belive if some driver at end of the 70s dorve this Kit crashed at Boardwalk, the Porsche will explode in 100 Parts...
@ Koen, send it here my Friend. but if i felt in love they would neve leave me again
Very very nice job you did there! Have to wear sunglasses when you look at it!
Only minor is that you didn’t used the original decals.......but I forgive you ; )
Yes, im afraid my original Decal not sticky enough after 44 Years so i choose mci Decals. Next Job will be a Jägermeister Porsche 935, wich i will also bulit from a NIB. I changed my Life from a Box Collector to a Porsche Fan Builder
Hi Rubi, yes all perfect coated with Clearcoat. This Time it was 2K Diamond Coating with 15% Thinner, first Layer has to be very thin Sprayed, powdered.. Secound can be much more. Even in past I tried with Vallejo Acrylic, works also.
