Here we have my latest car build...the amusing and unique Tamiya Bigwig.

A very enjoyable build start to finish, and I would say to people that have never built one of these, then go for it. You will love it.

The rear gearbox is very stiff to turn once constructed correctly, and the front gearbox assembly is very tricky to get in position, but we all love a challenge don't we? lol

A very iconic and ideosyncratic chassis, the steering servo isn't screwed down and the body hooks onto the rear using the plastic yellow fake intake....lol

That said, it is a very endearing buggy in many respects. Not perfect, but it has a charm of its's own! I hope you like it guys.

Beautiful looking buggy and you have really done a fantastic job on this mate!
Very iconic now and l think growing in stature too! A little mocked back in the day was the Bigwig l remember anyway! I think it was the yellow and blue plastic folk did not like the air duct and twin pipes made it look a little toy like (but then they all are toys lol but you dig me yeah) also the BigWig struggled at the track compared to the Boomerangs and the Shots well it did at my old race club! but to be fair it never really had a chance to prove itself because the club started to fold around the same time as the Bigwig was first around. I have seen these set up right though and they look very well balanced so the jury is still out for me on the performance but its iconic value is without doubt top bill!! The yellow, blue plastic...rack steering, unique chassis and of course that specially designed body shell are all stand out now! Plus the new motor l think is a nice touch to have bigwig name on the can! But shame it's not a technigold lol!!!
Still back to it yeah definitely one of the tamiya all stars now! Brilliant great job bud.

Thanks so much Mad Bee! I agree with everything you say. It may not be the best performer, but it has a hell of a lot of character!
