Inspired by a copy of an article from Radio Race Car in the 80's named Hotting up the HotShot I thought I could recreate the GRP chassis by using a 3d printer to create the side and base plates.
I have gone through many different versions over the last year, the biggest detour was looking at Grahoo's HotShot and being inspired by his suspension setup. I played around trying to get the inboard front suspension to work with the shocks mounted low in the chassis but couldn't get it to work as the geometry was all wrong. So I adopted the position you see here mounted above the front gearbox.
Last year I printed all the parts in white, this year because it was in the printer at the time all my new parts are in orange.
