This is my Tamiya 1/10th scale Toyota Prerunner that I purchased from Ebay for $245.00 USD in back in 2016/17 after the seller initially turned down that offer. He had it listed for more money but I told him that amount was the best I could do and to contact me if he didn't end up selling it for more and he accepted my offer later that same day. Based on my research, it's modeled after Ivan Stewart's legendary trophy truck that he drove to great success in the early '90's. It seems like their NIB value has increased substantially since I acquired this one so I think it was a wise investment. It's my favorite of Tamiya's three early stadium trucks (Toyota Prerunner, Ford F-150, Chevy S-10) but they had a short production run and I waited too long to purchase one when they were first released in June 1994 so I missed my opportunity. As a result, I purchased my second favorite which was the BF Goodrich Ford F-150 NIB back in 2006 which is also in my showroom and I love to occasionally run. This one will remain NIB. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

Hee hee - I'm furious that you haven't built it! But I understand why you haven't from an investment point of view...

I can only presume these were only manufactured for a short period and/or were all smashed up by those who did buy them at the time, as they seem to be the perfect basher/runner.

You've certainly got the best looking of the three here - although like you, I also had a soft spot for the Ford / BFGoodrich livery version too.

Thanks guys! @JennyMo: Yeah, the kid in me wants to build and run it but the old man in me understands that it's wiser to keep it NIB and run the F-150 runner that I already have. Your presumption is correct. It was released in mid-June 1994 and discontinued in 1996 so it had a short run which probably explains why I couldn't get one when I first started looking in the early 2000's.

Nice price considering the rare nature!

Nice kit. Is it the standard TA01 chassis?

@No Slack: It's the TA-02 chassis.

I had this truck in 1995. The body was best one out of three. There were Ford F150, Chevy S10 and Toyota Prerunner.

This one is a keeper. There is also a post card in the box if I recall correctly, it's a perfect fit for a picture frame.

@Wyoming: Thanks! That's awesome! I know your fondness for the Stewart livery so it's great that you've been able to run yours for so long. Fortunately, there are ample new and used spare parts available for them so hopefully you scoop some up to keep your truck running.
