This is my 1/10th scale NIB Graupner 'SYSTEMS' catamaran that I picked up from Ebay in 2016/17 for approximately $250.00 USD. It is a scale replica of the 1:1 1986 World Champion Cougar Cat powered by twin 750 horsepower Mercruiser engines that was owned/driven by Bob Kaiser and Errol Lanier in the 1980's. It's definitely in my top three all-time favorite r/c cats. My fascination with now-vintage fast electric r/c boats started around the time I got my first Hornet back in the '80's so both r/c cars and boats have been an equal passion of mine since then and I have quite a few in my collection. I started with an MRP Fast Cat back then while only one childhood friend of mine had one of these but I never saw it run. Unlike the vintage MRP boats, these kits require assembly, paint and are much higher quality which I didn't know BITD. It also requires the addition of the correct Graupner motors and single drive unit ('surface drive') which I also found a few years ago for approximately $50.00. I have a runner awaiting completion and these are quite rare to this will remain NIB. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

@Biscuit: I had another childhood friend who had a used Graupner Key West that his grandfather purchased from a garage sale so I remember them well. Very cool boats and they pop up on Ebay every now and then. Great video!

I bought one for my boy when he was about 9 years old, it had a mechanical speed control and we ran it on 12 cells was fast but everything fried and run time was around 3 mins lol
He is now 39 years old I found this on the bay and restored it, runs forever on 4400mah lipo and fast,it still needs setting up as you can see it bouncing but brings back good memories
