DN-01 Fire Viper
Another Hopped up RC, damn Tamiya...I feel like I have payroll deduction set-up.
This body I painted with a mix of Tamiya acrylic and pledge future floor polish. I did my first Neo Scorcher body with craft paint and pledge future and it held up quite well. I'm not so confident with this paint job. I mucked up the wing. originally painted it gold and didn't like it so went over with craft fluorescent yellow. and it is wayyy to thick and starting to crack.
I tried to find as many TRF201 parts as could be had. I actually had a NIB Tamiya USA TRF201 from ebay at a great price. but decided to keep the DN-01 as it was already built and didn't want two of the same (similar chassis).
I'm having trouble with the slipper clutch or differential as something keeps slipping. anyways, it's still a work in progress.

Cool car and nice work - looks meeean! Nice to see a modern Tamiya vehicle with all the vintage stuff around. I'm thinking you could strip the wing and leave it clear or cover with carbon fiber decal which might look cool.

thanks, I'll let it peel for the time being and see what clear will look like. Though, from my research of buggy colour schemes, on most of them, wheels and wing match in colour.
