The Boo Truck Mk2

So, a quick explanation.

My youngest daughter's nickname is 'Boo'. When we first got one of these VW wheelies, she loved it and it soon became known as 'The Boo Truck'.
She's had a LOT of fun with that little truck. It's been her favourite for years, she's run it hard but respected it too - never tried to do massive jumps or anything deliberately silly, if you know what I mean.
Even so, the original Boo Truck is now showing its age. Still going strong but the battle scars are obvious.

Over the last year or so I've built a couple of these for a mate. Inevitably Boo was interested, and inevitably one of those conversations started. One of those conversations that starts with a big hug and fluttering eyelashes and a sweet little voice saying 'D-a-a-a-a-a-d....'

So Dad got busy. I'd got most of a WR02 chassis in my spares box, a few bits n bobs and it was up and running. The body set was relatively cheap from RCMart so it all came together fairly easily.

I took my time on the bodyshell and I think it came out nice. We decided on a couple of little extras - the WW2 jerry can at the back and the surf board on the roof. (The roof rails are from a 1/14 truck.) I made a basic interior and she chose the driver and navigator - she still giggles at her 'crazy lady' passenger :)
A friend of mine made the tyres decals, I think they look great. The number plates make a nice finishing touch and earned me another beaming smile so they were definitely a good investment!

So here it is. My little girl is very happy with 'Boo Truck 2' so I'm calling that a big win. Hope you like it too.
