I never owned a lunchbox back in the 80s but my friend did and I was jealous. I bought this Re Re in 2013 (can believe its been that long) but as life got in the way, she spent a few year sitting neglected in our spare room. Recently she was restored, repainted in TS34 Camel Yellow and is brought out whenever I need a laugh. Modifications are limited to an Ampro axle brace and a set of tyre foams. I tried some cheap oil dampers for a while but found them too hard, removing some of the fun from driving. The front tyres have been replaced as the old ones went oval after years on the shelf. I've also fitted tyre foams which makes the lunchbox a lot more stable in turns.
2021 Update. After a couple of years of fun, including back flips in the park, the body was looking a little tired so I treated Lunchy to a new one painted in TS47 chrome yellow, wheels from the chrome edition midnight pumpkin and R31 house tyres. I've also changed the rear hubs and body mounts for alloy alternatives.

This looks great! What kind of tyre foams did you use or make?

I used the Schumacher 2.2 soft foam insets. They seem to work well.

Thank you! I may try something like this.
