Here we have a recently completed restoration of the Mardave Marauder.

I first came across this design when I was 14 years old.....and I never actually got to see it drive! I have wanted one ever since, and here I am 35 years later with my very own resto to add to my collection.

If you are interested, I have restored it on my You Tube Channel, which can be found here....

Purchased on ebay for a 'healthy' bid, I will be running it occasionally on grass. It is a classic afterall, and I certainly don't want to wreck it!!

The paint scheme is based on the Mark 2, and it has the Irvine 0.20cu in engine installed.

The decals were purchased from MCI Racing in Canada, and although I had to wait 3 weeks to get them I found them to be very good quality!!

Thanks to Kev the Rev for his help at the beginning of the project. Much appreciated!

Update : August 2020, New glow plug fitted, new glow energizer purchased and starter tested .

The paint scheme and decals have certainly made it come alive from what you started with!
Sounds like you enjoyed the resto enormously!

Thanks for the great comments guys. So glad you all like it. The Mark 2 has a great colour scheme that suits the shape of the Marauder. One of my favorites!

Very nice. These are on my periphery when I was younger there used to be a kid nearby that ran this awesome nitro thing. He started it by inverting his bike, spinning the rear wheel and jabbing the car at it. Many years later I realised it was a Mardave and he was starting it by the flywheel. The smell still lingers

Love this buggy! I always had a soft spot for them even if in my country they never arrived...
I'm mad about the muffler look!
You really did a superb resto.

Cool, love it!
