This is a project that I'd seen others do and wanted to try myself. I actually bought a new body for it but quickly realized there was no way the steering would work without trimming it.
I recently bought my mates basher Lunchbox so trimmed that one instead, it sits as low as I could get it without major body and bumper alterations.

Update 28/09/20 I've sold the M05 chassis along with the Mini shell that was on my Lunchbox but kept this Lunchbox shell for my daughter.
I may repaint this later but at the minute i'm quite liking the ratty look of it.

I like this , it looks 'right' . I would reshape the front wheel arch to make it look 'factory'

Thanks KEV THE REV I wanted to do as little trimming as possible so that the arches looked roughly similar. It's a compromise between making it look right and having steering and suspension.
I've added a video, it looks great driving around.

It indeed looks great driving around. Have you considered widening the wheel arches, like it's done on the mini and golf Mk.1?

Now that's a great idea tamiyastef! I will certainly look into it
