I guess I'm probably not alone in lusting after the Tamiya cars of my childhood. Both those I had back then (most of which I still own), the one's my friends had and the ones that were unattainable at the time.

This Falcon was bought used from France on eBay late 2019 to scratch an old itch. One of my childhood friends got a Falcon for xmas some time in the 80s, but I don't think he ever warmed to it in the way we had both done to our respective Hornets.

This one features a Kamtec body and decals from MCI. Only the front lower suspension arms were cracked, and so was the body. The rest was restorable including the tyres. The quality of the replacement isn't great but it was cheap and the fit is pretty. It made it less painful when I realised the rear section of the body should have been black instead of red. Oh well...

I also had to buy the battery clip for it, and a period Futaba radio gear. I'm just a Futaba guy from the beginning (i.e. my first F-150 Ranger in the early 80s).

Never knew I wanted one

I had a Falcon as my second car. Definitely an upgrade in handling caracteristics from my Grasshopper but nowhere close to its successor the Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid. I enjoyed driving it and installed a front stabilizer at one point, but it had not the impact on me as the Grasshopper or Mid. You have a very nice example, most are far more battered and shattered.

Beautiful buggy, was my first back in the days. This one looks to be in fantastic condition.
