My story is from the 80's very similar but the box was a Holiday Buggy that my dad joined a christmas club for at the local hobby shop. Coz time were hard for mum and dad back then.... Looking forward to seeing the build picks and those upgrades
Here’s a link to my showroom entry for a XR311 re-re which I built in 2012, but with a retro twist. I swapped out the chassis and used an original version chassis set and mechanical speed controller. I also used the same Tamiya 5 cell battery and Acoms AP227MKII radio set that I had with my one back in the early 1980’s: [Click here]
