White and blue HB2010 - SOLD
This took me a while to get it on here. I finished this build over a year ago but wanted to finish it's brother (sand rover 2011) also before I put this one on here.
I disliked the blue/yellow of the boxart and couldn't bring myself to do the effort it takes to paint the HB body so I took the sand rover wheels and ordered some custom decals from MCI and went for blue/white.
Keeping in this theme I put some white mesh in the 'air-intakes' in the bonnet, and went for the blue front and rear stabilizer as well as the blue springs.
The front bodymount was lowered so there is hardly a gap between the front bumper and the body. I also deleted the roof lights and instead put four lights in front.
Gave the cowboy a Tamiya t-shirt based on an existing design and gave the interior a back panel. The car has all ball bearings, metal shielded in the gearbox and rubber shielded at the axles. It has a dust cover and still the original 380 motor. Hasn't been driven :-(
Used hop ups:
53832 blue racing springs
53829 blue stabilizer front and rear
50519 CVA mini shock unit set II front
50520 CVA short shock unit set II rear
MCI custom decals
Sand Rover 2011 wheels
Traxxas Anaconda rear tires
Full ball bearings, metal shielded in the gearbox, all other rubber shielded
Hunter systems chassis cover
SOLD to Italy.

Looks great! I like the blue/white. I have a HB 2010 in the box and haven't built it yet because I can't decide on colors. Not crazy about the box are either with the yellow wheels, but really dont want to get into painting the body.

@87lc2 I couldn't bring myself to put it on those yellow wheels but painting that body is such a hassle. I love MCI decals because you can have all the yellow replaced with white.
@Mad-bee Thanks mate. I'm really pleased myself with the end result, especially the driver.

That's a very nice sample and well put together. Now I'm eager to get one of mine done.
