I present my original fully restored Optima Mid. This model was the third of my RC cars, the first being a Cheetah and the second being a Hornet, this was quite a step up in performance.

Very nice restoration! The pictures of the car balancing on his left or right wheels immediately triggered some very fond memories. On my turbo Optima Mid almost al the screws on the bottom were countersunk, never knew this was another difference between the turbo and regular Optima Mid.

I’m please with how this one turned out. I also have difficulty with the differences between SWB Mids but yes your are correct, apparently the Turbos had countersunk chassis the original Mids did not.
