I have bought the car as a HKS Skyline NIB in a very bad condition box but brand new and unbuild. I have decided to build this livery as I'm not a big fan of the HKS one and the Calsonic is an exact copy, apart from the decals. This is the genuine body kit with pre cut holes but with a sightly updated chassis. I have kept every hop up packing sheet and I'm pretty happy with this car. Has the TA02 rear stabilizer and full updated ball diffs (aluminum pressure plate set and lightweight diff balls) one way front gear box, a hard center shaft, high speed gear set, aluminum motor mount, GT-R universal shafts, a Carbon chassis set and 5 spoke Tamiya aluminum wheels. Couldn't be happier and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Awesome GTR, with nice mods. I also keep all the packaging cardboards. Perhaps Tamiya touring sedan interior later on?

Awesome, simply awesome. Nice build body also!

Nice Calsonic Skyline! So, the stickers are repro stickers? Where did you get them and do you like them? On your pictures they sure look nice.

Thanks for all your comments guys
JYCM3: I'm about to paint the cockpit. It's a must for this car
FuzzyFlynn: it's a genuine Tamiya decal set from a Calsonic body set that was re released in the early 2000. Only the start No. is self printed as the rere body has a different one.

@lowspot: Thanks for the clarification.

This is a fantastic build! I think the 6-spoke alloys fit this livery quite well. An interesting side note regarding the decals -- not all of the original release 50430 body sets included the number 12 decal. I have both the original Japan-made and re-re Philippines versions, and both have box art that depicts the number '1'. It's one of those weird Tamiya things that I've never heard a explanation for.

@OCD: thanks for the info - sometimes Tamiya is kinda weird

Stunning! No, really! There is room on my shelf for this one. Just saying.

Looks amazing. Great work. Will look even better when you get the interior in it.
