Sister car to my display model. This is driven and is based of the LM that appeared at Laguna Seca for the IMSA race in October 1989. I was there and it was awesome to see this car at it's debut.
Check out my concourse winning F40 LM in my Showroom with the build details. The one pictured here is the sister car that’s a driver. Back in the mid 90’s if you wanted to win the the concourse at Tamiya HQ in Aliso Viejo Ca. you had to race the car. I built two F40 LM’s, one for show and one to race. This is the Tamiya F40 body on a TA 02W Chassis and the body has been customized, with custom Lexan pieces cut from packaging materials, to resemble the F40 LM.
ON THE OTHER F40 LM, The light buckets, mirrors, engine bay and tailpipes are Yokomo. This car is all Tamiya.

I assume this is the Yokomo body?
That's awesome. I love the f40lm; I have the 1/16 scale Fujimi model. Is that body by Kyosho?
