This has been a project I've wanted to do since the Escort Mk2 was announced.
M04L chassis with Torque Tuned motor and bearings so RWD. Wider axles and hexes added to make it look more like Tarmac spec.
Body set painted PS-62 Pure Orange with rear panel and bumper painted black. Rear spoiler painted black on the outside of the shell so it is deliberately satin looking not gloss.
Fog lights cut so there are only 2 above the bumper. Painted white to look like covers with Cibie decals added. Custom number plate made by adapting the kit supplied VHK 47 S adding a 1 to make VHK 147 S.
Kyosho 0.4mm micron tape used for body shut lines which finish it off nicely.
Chromed Tamiya wheels and Pit Shimizu tyres, although I also have Tamiya M chassis mini tyres instead of the 60D tyres.
I love how this has turned out. Looks great with the rally car.

Wow that takes me back. That is just like the one my Mum & Dad had from new back in 70's R reg times. Except it was a 1.3L and didn't have the spots either , but that colour is spot on. Signal orange I think it was? A bit later my Grandad aced that and got a white 1600 sport in white on an S reg. Very nice work there.
