Seems I may have caught the bug or maybe it's the other way around, perhaps we were made for eachother?
Gee I dunno. One thing is for sure as I get older and grayer I find myself overly fond of these Beetle replica cars which comes at bit of a surprise since I loathed being spotted driving & sitting in one all those years ago. It always somehow felt slow and you could literally hear the thing from a block away, Perhaps that was the appeal all along. I'm just glad I was able to scoop the last two from the store before Kyosho decided to cut the line production.

I completely agree with you, the box art are as exciting as mushy pea's for dinner lol.
It's a good thing their car's cater to everyone's taste. From bashers, racers, collectors, hoarders.
Wait, what??

You can't beat seeing a V-Dub Bug playing in the dirt, love it. Watching some YT clips they look to handle very well.

Excellent RC, it is an absolute pleasure to drive. Are you sure they cut the production line. I know Kyosho has been sold, but haven’t heard about any definite stop of the production.

Klausen, I goto 4 outlets for my sources, besides ebay & 2 other sites, I goto Kyosho USA for a final analysis, I can't seem to sniff any information about their Beetle anywhere over there. If you have another source you care to share, then please by all means. Take me to your leader . Cheers

Re-Bugged, when you have spectacular looking V-Dub's like you have? you just let me know who would argue it to be anything less lol. You and some TC member's have clearly put the notice on the Bug's

Agree they are out of stock everywhere, but they’ve been before and come back. Just if they are gone for good. I need to back a Tomahawk before it is too late ??.

But yes, should really have double of all RC’s ??.

Should I really have double of all RC's???? LMAO, you crack me up.
Just how many Optima's do you own? How many Beetles do you have? in your own showroom right now? it's the same thing, no?

Actually only one Kyosho Beetle, but 7 Mids ??.

Nope you have 2 Tamiya monster beetles and as you said. 7 optima's. So to answer your question with a question. Why do you have more than one of the same model?

As for my story, as I have always said in previous inquiry to my habbits of buying the same model. It's been a desire for me to have all the models related to buggies since the late 80's. I could afford very little back then and so didn;t have much. Nowadays I think I have a little too much but if you think this is out of the norm, you should check out the other things I;m into

Correct , I have 2 Monster Beetles.

You might missunderstood me. I am totally with you, and would love to have several of each model. I am keeping some cars NIB as well, to build when I retire in 20 some years. Guess it is better to get them while they are still available.

Bingo!!, You hit the nail on it's head and somehow you've explained better out in the open than I could. You took the words right out of my mind. It is that loss of oppurtunity that we may yet again, find ourselves in. There were more than a few cars (which a lot of people can empathize) that we wish we could've had at a certain point in our lives but due to circumstances, it could never be. In many ways I am making up for lost time. When I first joined in the early 90's I could only afford 2nd hand items (you'll see it in my previous account) no NIB's to speak of, not saying I'm less grateful, but again, like I said. Circumstances. Had to give up RC's for the second time around because of having your own family is a full time commitment.

Now the kids have grown up (teenagers) and with covid, and like many of you, have found the time to reconnect with your passion, and so fast forward to 2020-2021 I figured I can now really get what I want, which were NIB's. I think we are all now in our 40's and so might as well settle old scores before it's too late (in a good way )
