After month of hunting parts my Optima is now nearly complete. It was fun to bring the old and broken car back to live!

Did paint the wheels sides now. First i tried with brushes but now i did it with a pen. It's not perfect but the overall look seems ok to me.

5 Now with painted Tires 4 5 4 former condition 5 4 8

Thanks so much! was not sure about the color but there were so many cars in yellow i wanted to change that on my car. Now it is a color called wolf grey.

Nice car, very nice restoration! Unusual colour but it suits this car. Good work!

Very nice Mid SE. The color looks great on it, even though I am a boxart fan.

Thank you i love the box art too especially from Kyosho. But these yellow Mids... Was never sure about it. The Color could look great but it seems to me the colirs of the decals do not fit on it. It is better on the Mid Turbo with the all blue decals than on the Mid SE. I have a Turbo i want to paint next and will try a light blue Body on it.

As much as I like Kyosho's and Optima's, I'm not entirely fond of the 1st gen Mid's, I feel it's half a car since it's show wheel base and doesn't drive well that much. It's only when they lengthen it to how it should be is when I fell in love with it again. This will be one model I will only probably just buy 1 and no more

Other than that, nice resto job.

Thanks and yes i think about the Long wheel base too but i have no driving experience for them and this one was the only Mid that was affordable and such a nice possibility to bring him back to live. I definitely would lke to have a good driving circuit to compare some of my old Buggys in performance. Seems to me that the first gen Mids are well performer but a little but nervous in steering.
