First Big Rig!!
I always said to myself I wouldn't do a 1/14 Tamiya Truck even though I am a self confessed Truck nut, I bounce around in a 1:1 most days, looked longingly at a Wedico Truck as a young lad in my local hobby shop and some fantastic RC Trucks that were covered in Trucking International magazine.
But one day the planets lined up and I couldn't resist one of my particular favourite's in the Tamiya line up, the Knight Hauler.
I was keen for more of a build experience this time round after completing a few cars. And man alive are these things a build experience all right!!
It's stock apart from a 55t motor, one piece aluminium exhaust stacks, (lots of!!) bearings, Freightliner grille emblem and a GT Power light and sound module, so i can use LiPo an a Pistol transmitter.
There is a lot of Chrome in this kit so I decided to dilute it a bit by colour coding the mirrors, painting a centre section of the Sun visor and returns. I also painted some of the Chrome along the bottom step & toolbox backs to match the Chassis.
Would I do another one?
Absolutely, if you like building then you should give a Big Rig a look, so glad I did it in the end.

Stunning Rig mate, but one thing is missing, it needs a trailer . I just put a flat bed behind my Aeromax, the big reefer trailer does look really good behind it though. The Tanker is stunning too

Thank you mtbkym01, a B-Double trailer set would be nice one day

super tastefully done - love the attention to detail and you can see the love that went into this build

Amazing truck, I am rather jealous at this point. But very, very nice and well done. Quality pics btw.

Thank you BH+Struggle & Dirt-Racer, I tend to borrow my Daughter's SLR camera for taking showroom shot's now as they generally come out much better than using my old phone for them.

Beautifully done, it looks so good! I bet you sometimes wish you could shrink yourself to 1:10 scale to be able to hop inside that cabin! It looks real. and mighty!!

Wow that's stunning! Great pics too!

Really good work and I like the little changes you made like colour coded mirrors etc. Looks fantastic and you can see a lot of work has gone into that.

Thank you for you kind comments, much appreciated.
It would be kinda fun to be able to shrink yourself and hop inside wouldn’t it Ferruz!!
A lot of masking tape went into this, that I do know, Dirt-540
