This is a slightly hopped up TT-02 White Special chassis with an HPI Ford GT Shell on top. It did initially have an under-done 911 GT3 shell on it but I was never happy with it and couldn't think of a home for the GT, so did a swap around.

The shell is 200mm wide rather than 190, so I needed to use the 50808 long axles with some wide hex hubs behind some deep offset rims to get the wheels to sit right in the arches.

The wheelbase is close but not quite, think the shell is 255 and the TT-02 is 257, so the rear arch is a little close to the tyre. It's clear, but doesn't look absolutely bob on.

And because of how tight the two-part rear end is to the chassis, I had to remove the TT-02's rear bumper otherwise the shell just sat on it rather than around it.

So, in a nutshell.....HPI shells aren't that great a fit to Tamiya chassis. The stickers are pre-cut and went on very well. That two-part rear end is a bit of a nonsense, it looks scruffy. And the lexan is a bit thin on the sides.

But OTHER THAN THAT.....

Beautiful, and you have made it look right at home on that chassis.
