The Boomerang
Where it all started for me! This is my first Tamiya car I got when I was 11 years old! How this thing has survived I'll never know, although it was in storage for 30 years or so. It's 100% original. I stripped, cleaned, and rebuilt her a couple of years ago, but that's it, except for changing the damper oil. If you're wondering why I didn't paint her white back in '86, I remember that the local model shop only had black and I was too impatient to wait! I fully built her and brush painted that shell myself. I remember my dad was away for work, and again I was too impatient to wait for his help. When I dismantled her 2 years ago I was amazed that I'd built her correctly to the manual and not messed anything up! She still runs really well and is full of memories for me.

Great looking Boomer and very special to still have it! The Boomerang was my first 4wd and won me many trophies at my old Sunday club! I loved that buggy but sadly l don't have it now! All l have left is a photo! Its in my showroom still though very happy memories come flooding back when l see a Boomerang! Hey yours looks great in black too mate!

By the way buddy hope you cool with me saying but you could do with posting your cars on the TC with more time between each model so they get a chance to be seen and admired and stay on the front page of the TC longer or they will get missed and you have some really very nice gear mate!
A fantastic collection!

This looks mean in black. That first car is irreplaceable really, hold on to it. I'm so happy I still have my original Grasshopper, I think you feel the same about your boomerang!
